Photos/Video: Boko Haram members release new video, threaten President Buhari

Boko Haram members have released a new video in which they say they plan to capture President Buhari. The 12 minutes 58 seconds video was shared on Youtube. The narrator spoke in Hausa language and showed suspected terrorists doing their Eid prayers on Monday September 12th. “This is our eid prayer from us and by the support of our leader Imam Abubakar Al-Shekau. We are extending our greetings to our people and fighters. Message to the infidels and the leader of the entire infidels (kafir) who is the President of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari, that he should know we are very strong and doing very good. By the will of Allah under the leadership of our leader (Shekau) will capture Buhari with our hands,” the group said. Watch the video after the cut.

Aleksander Ceferin elected as the new UEFA presiden

Aleksander Ceferin, Slovenia's Football Association president has been named the new UEFA president after he defeated Dutchman Michael van Praag at UEFA's congress in Athens today. The 48-year-old Slovenian polled 42 votes compared to van Praag's 13 votes and will now succeed former France legend Michel Platini, who resigned after being banned from all football activity last year.

Photo: 90-year-old paralysed man dumped alive in graveyard by family

Residents of Mutomo Village in Gatundu, Kiambu County, Kenya were shocked to find a 90-year-old man dumped alive near a graveyard on Monday, September 12th. Samuel Kibure was dumped near Mutomo graveyard along Gatundu-Mutomo Kenyatta road route where he was discovered by members of the public. According to Kibure, he had been admitted at a Gatundu hospital and later discharged. He told Citizen Digital that he was taken to his brother’s house at Karembu in Gatundu South  on Monday night by his son who lives in Nakuru. In the middle of the night, his brother’s sons woke him up, wrapped him in a blanket and took him in their car where they dumped him near the graveyard at about  2pm . Kibure narrated how he had sold his land and property, leaving him homeless, adding that his children later deserted him claiming he had become a burden to them as his legs had been paralysed.
