The President of football’s world governing body (FIFA) - Mr Gianni Infantino and the Secretary General, Fatma Samoura arrived on Sunday in Abuja, Nigeria for a two day working visit. They were received at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Intl Airport by NFF President, Amaju Pinnick and others.
Gianni Infantino paid a visit to the Senate this morning and was received by Bukola Saraki in his office. There was also a joint meeting between members of the National Assembly, FIFA officials and representatives from the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF). More photos after the cut.




The objective of the visit is to renew FIFA’s commitment towards developing football in Africa and promote corporate support for the sport in Nigeria.

Londoners were graced with royalty as Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the ruler of Dubai ruler, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and his son, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Crown Prince took the popular London Underground tube today. Casually dressed in a white shirt and green trousers, Sheikh Mohammed was seated next to his son, surrounded by UAE officials and other passengers. A 17-second clip of his ride on the London Underground was uploaded to Instagram and Twitter by UAE-based al-Roeya and has gone viral with many people commenting on his "humility".

Paul Okoye Christens baby at Hearts of Gold Hospice (photos)

Paul Okoye of P-Square christened a baby girl at the Hearts of Gold Children Hospice, Surulere, Lagos, today, Friday 15 July. He named the beautiful baby Blessing (Ngozi). According to Mrs Laja Adedoyin, founder of the hospice, the four month-old had not been given a name since she was admitted to the hospice.She therefore gave Paul the mandate to officially give her a name. Paul, who relished the privilege of christening the beautiful child, called her Blessing (Ngozi) before leading a prayer session for every children of the hospice and their principals. The Rudeboy Recordz head honcho had visited the hospice in company of some family members, friends and the artistes from his record label (Lucy and Muno) to donate food stuffs and other items to the hospice.
